G#mI was five and he was six

G#mWe rode on horses made of sticks

C#mHe wore black and I wore white

D#He would always win the fight

G#mBang Bang, He shot me down

G#mBang Bang, I hit the ground

G#m C#mBang Bang, That awful sound

C#m D#Bang Bang, My baby shot me down

G#mSeasons came and change their time

G#mWhen I grew up I called him mine

C#mHe would always laugh and say

D#"Remember when we used to play"

G#mBang Bang, I shot you down

G#mBang Bang, You hit the ground

C#mBang Bang, That awful sound

D#Bang Bang, I used to shoot you down

G#mMusic played and people sang

F#7Just for me the church bells rang

E F#7 E F#7 G#m E F#7

G#m

G#mNow he's gone, I don't know why

G#mUntil this day sometimes I cry

C#mHe didn't even say goodbye

D#He didn't take the time to lie

G#mBang Bang, He shot me down

G#mBang Bang, I hit the ground

G#m C#mBang Bang, That awful sound

C#m D#Bang Bang, My baby shot me down
